Some stories don't need a brief. A barn burns down in the middle of the night, and by morning, people are already making plans to rebuild it. This film follows that rebuilding, a community-led timber frame barn raising that became something much bigger than construction. It sits at the intersection of documentary production, heritage craft, human connection and fundraising.
The barn had stood for over a century before the fire. The people came to rebuild it from across the country and around the world, bringing their skills and their history with them. That's the story we were trusted to capture.
When the work itself is the story, the filmmaking has to get out of the way and let it breathe. That's exactly the kind of project we're built for, and we'd be glad to help with yours.
